I do not like the word spent, because when you spend, it means that you are losing something. My summer is an extraordinary and pleasant experience that I try to reward myself with every year. I love to spend time with my family and it did not come as a surprise that this time we also gathered together and decided to spend one month on our farm, following by one fascinating month on the beach of Bahia.
My family is very big; sometimes we gather about thirty people to spend our vacations together. Of course, not all the relatives have a privilege of three months vacations and, therefore, younger family members enjoy seeing their relatives coming one by one throughout summer to stay with them for a week or two. When we gather together with my family, we try to organize our day to include all types of activities to meet expectations and wishes of all the relatives. Personally I like sports, and always try to take part in various sport competitions and events. This year we participated in tennis, volleyball and basketball competitions together with my cousins and uncle. Though we did not win in any of them, we came second in volleyball and were in the finals of the tennis competition.
Apart from sports, the resort has many other attractions, including interesting excursions to the nearby towns and traditional villages. We have been to the turtle farm and watched how small turtles went into the sea water for the first time. It was one of the most exciting views I have seen in my life. We travelled to Salvador, one of the oldest towns in Brazil, and enjoyed major historical sights of this town; tried traditional Brazilian food and enjoyed charming samba music played live in a cafe.
This summer was amazing, like all the other summer vacations that I spent with my family. The strongest impression and one of the life-time experiences was the turtle farm and it made this summer slightly better and distinguished it from the others.
